Bio
Artist, designer, educator and writer, Mira Kamada’s career is a commitment to understanding and teaching the value of art in our culture. Art education and graphic design intertwine with active studio work in painting, drawing and printmaking. As her primary medium, Ms. Kamada’s work on canvas has evolved from traditional approaches, including landscape and still life, to textured, abstract forms and conceptual work, while continuing to push the possibilities of paint and mixed media.
Ms. Kamada received a Master of Arts degree in painting from Marshall University, where she was granted the Arthur Carpenter Award for Excellence in Art. She has lived, worked, and exhibited on both U.S. coasts—from New Jersey to California, as well as the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Her work is represented in both private and public collections and has appeared in feature films.
